Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up like bones.
I had the opportunity to preach on this the other day, but I did NOT include this verse. The theme was basically that passion is contagious, good and bad. That passion can be your attitude, good or bad, an outreach, a sport, a hobby, you name it when you are gung ho about something and you start sharing your enthusiasm, people jump on board.
Have a cheerful heart, it’s contagious! People enjoy being around happy people and it in turn makes them happy.
Since you’re here, let me share some of my favorite videos with you…these should make you laugh.
I can’t take credit for this…this is Scotty Manning’s fault…if you read this…thanks buddy…I owe you, I’ve lost brain cells over this!
I don’t know where I came up with these
I’m just going to stop here because I could waste entirely too much time with this junk…
Most of you have seen the “house divided” license plates…although this isn’t one…this is what my devotion today reminded me of. We saw this at the Arkansas vs. Tennessee Game…I LOVED it enough, I went and talked to the guy driving the truck to get permission to take a picture of it!
Psalm 119:2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart
Most of us know that a divided heart will kill a relationship. Along the same lines, Half-Hearted Christianity has done its share of damage to the church as it pertains to meeting the needs of a lost and dying world.
Jesus addresssed a division again, not quite in the same context but it still applies in Matthew 12:25. Bottom line, if we try to divide our lives between what we give God and our love for Jesus Christ and live however we want, it’s NOT going to work.
When Jesus was asked to declare the greatest commandment in the Word of God, He gave us Matthew 22:37,38Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
To a Christian, NOTHING should be more important than loving Jesus with all your heart.
That’s my heart, to love Jesus, to serve God with EVERYTHING I have…with my WHOLE heart. To not allow myself or anything in my life to be divided, therefore separated from God and to recognize the blessings God has given me.
Let me just say this…This page is all things Brandon…this page will be a mix of ministry, leadership, life, adventure, QuickBooks, Business, and just plain tech nerd stuff…I’ll try to keep it categorized accordingly.
I’m looking for feedback, I do care about people and their opinions as long as it’s healthy, and not “in your face, I’m right you’re wrong” type comments.
